Aura Care Living's luxury retirement village and care home, Stratton Court in Cirencester, has just launched a new monthly community event to combat loneliness in the elderly and use the proven healing and uplifting power of music as therapy.
The first event, which was held in October, was a great success, with not only residents from the home joining but members of the local community.
The sing-a-long, which is held on the second Wednesday of every month from 2-3.30pm, is free to attend and includes tea, coffee and delicious cake as well as a delightful mixture of folk, popular and gospel music, and songs from the shows.
