Residents and team members at Gracewell of Sutton recently celebrated the success of a very special VIP launch party.
The care home on Westmead Road hosted the party to mark the formal opening of its new residential floor on Thursday 10 October. VIP guests included the mayor and mayoress of Sutton, councillor Muhammad Sadiq and Mrs Aasia Sadiq, who were in attendance to carry out the formal ribbon cutting.
Guests, including representatives from a range of local businesses, went along to show their support and enjoyed live music, glasses of fizz and canapes while touring the new facilities and stunning show suites. One of the new facilities is a beautiful rooftop terrace, where guests mingled while enjoying the weather – something Gracewell now hopes its residents will benefit from.
Gracewell’s resident ambassador, Ron Hill, also joined the celebrations and commented that the event was “Very well organised, very good. As usual, we laid on a very good spread and I was delighted to be part of it.”
Sue Martin, home admissions advisor at Gracewell of Sutton, says: “This was a wonderful way to celebrate the opening of our beautiful new residential floor. We’d like to thank all who came along to show their support and we look forward to seeing residents enjoying the facilities on offer.”
