The Care Quality Commission has rated the care being provided by Dystlegh Grange to be 'outstanding' after an inspection in June 2019.
The service is operated by Dystlegh Grange Limited and provides accommodation and personal care for up to 40 older people. It was previously rated outstanding following its first rated inspection in September 2016. At the time of the latest inspection 29 people were being supported by the service.
The September 2016 inspection rated the home outstanding for being effective and caring, and good for being safe, responsive and well-led. The latest inspection saw that the service had improved to outstanding for being responsive and well-led. Effective and caring remained outstanding and safe was rated good.
Helena Dennett, head of adult social care inspection, says: “We found this service had a fantastic attitude and further improved on its previous outstanding features, spreading learning and experience into more aspects of the home.
“The staff and leadership were always looking to find ways to problem solve and evaluate their performance so further improvements could be made to benefit the people they supported. The care provided continued to be extremely person-centred and had a warm and inviting atmosphere.
“An excellent result for a service that has not only sustained an outstanding rating but improved on it. Congratulations to everyone at the home.”
