Newly appointed general manager, Lesley Standing, recently unveiled the new marketing suite at Barchester Healthcare’s luxury care home in Eastbourne, Mortain Place, where she cut the ribbon to open the completed part of the home with an enormous pair of scissors.
Standing was assisted by Natasha Lazovic, divisional director, Carolyn Tyrer, home services advisor, Katie Leeuwenburg, senior marketing executive and Mervyn Knights, hospitality development and standards manager, who were all there to officially open the marketing suites for potential residents within the community on their open weekend on the 8th and 9th of June.
Guests were invited to preview the services available at the home and were able to enjoy a spread of sweet and savoury treats provided by the hospitality team as they discussed their care needs.
The marketing suite at Mortain Place Care Home was fitted out by Barchester’s team of expert interior designers and provides the local community with an opportunity to see what the finished 80-bed care home will look like when complete.
The marketing suite features spacious en-suite bedrooms, a lounge, an activities room and a large assisted spa bathroom, all designed with the comfort of residents in mind.
When it opens, the home will also feature a café with orangery, a private dining room, choice of lounges, spa bathrooms, a life-skills kitchen, a large terrace, an inhouse hair salon and en-suite bedrooms with garden access for ground floor rooms. A daily life enrichment programme with an array of tailored activities, a concierge service, as well as delicious and nutritious seasonal meals will also be provided at the home.
As Standing cut the ribbon, she said, “We’re so pleased to meet so many lovely people for the first look around of the home. Our marketing suite is a wonderful way for people to come and see the high quality environment that we are creating and meet the friendly team who will be caring for our residents.”
She continued, “Personalised care really is at the heart of everything we do, and we are looking forward to meeting our new neighbours and making new friends from within our community."
Mortain Place Care Home, which is owned and operated by Barchester Healthcare, will provide residential and dementia care for older people in the Eastbourne community for short breaks to long term stays.
The marketing suite will be open seven days a week between 10am-4pm, where the Mortain Place team will be on hand to answer any questions about the services available, and will be able to discuss the care options available when the home is ready to welcome residents in October 2019.
