Talented residents at The Grange care home in Wickford, Essex, put on a fantastic show with their choir at a local church hall, raising £156.23 for Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund charity.
With a full audience that packed out St Catherine’s Church Hall in Southend Road, Wickford, the well-practised One Voice Choir group sung beautifully together in front of family, friends and members of the local community. Mayor of Basildon, Councillor David Dadds, was also in attendance.
The One Voice Choir was inspired and set up by wellbeing lead at The Grange, Catherine Sahadevan, who is passionate about maintaining a meaningful and stimulating activities programme supporting residents, many of whom are living with dementia.
Sahadevan and the team at The Grange have increased motivation, purposeful direction, encouraged learning new skills and installed confidence in residents by creating the One Voice Choir.
