Senior GPS smartwatch

Making waves within the GPS/Lifeline industry right now is the Senior GPS Smartwatch being brought to the UK market through a company called TED Alert. Recently up for the innovation award at the Dementia Care and Nursing Home Expo, TED Alert have received huge amounts of praise and demand for the watch suggesting they are in for a very successful 2019. The Smartwatch has only just been released to the consumer market and has multiple new features, previously unseen in the GPS market.

The Smartwatch has been developed by world leading manufacturers and software developers, allowing users to stay connected to the people they love. The watch is simply worn on the users arm weighing only 30 grams, featuring an anti-allergic silicone interchangeable strap. Allowing users to optimise their preferred tightness whilst being confident of no adverse reactions to the band itself. There is an SOS button located on the front of the screen which can be used in all emergency situations as well as state-of-the-art health monitoring features, ultimately the Senior GPS Smartwatch gives people peace of mind whether out and about or at home at all times. There is a high quality speaker inserted within the watch meaning users can hear the assisting member of staff from the 24/7 monitoring centre clearly during their time of need. A microphone is placed inside also, in order to hear the users response allowing the call centre to act accordingly. Whether that be one of the emergency services i.e. Ambulance, Police or Fire, but also if they wanted to contact a loved one too.

With versatile GPS functionality it allows users to add ‘geo-fencing’ zones on our online portal, this then triggers an alert when the user exits a predefined area. We have found this is particularly useful for Alzheimer’s and dementia sufferers, ultimately allowing loved ones to locate them if they ever went missing. The alert comes through to them stating their exact location allowing them to be found easily without the need for the emergency services.

Within the GPS market one of the main issues with devices is that a lot of them have short battery life. Our manufacturers have worked tirelessly over the last year to develop a longer lasting battery meaning users will not have to charge the watch as often as most GPS buttons in the current market. The Senior GPS Smartwatches have all been fitted with our brand new battery lasting up to 5 days from a single charge. The battery life is always displayed on the front of the watch allowing users to be informed as to the level of charge.
