Celebrations were in order as Gracewell of Woking, on Streets Heath, marked its first anniversary.
Residents and family members gathered at the luxury care home to ring in the occasion and celebrate one year of Gracewell of Woking providing high quality care in the local community.
A live musical performance was provided by local entertainer Graham Broad, who has become a friendly face at Gracewell of Woking with his monthly visits to entertain residents. This time around, he sang a few numbers and played the keyboard.
Sous chef Ajay Gautam prepared a delicious birthday cake, whilst guests also enjoyed a mouth-watering afternoon tea lovingly prepared by the Gracewell dining team.
Resident Betty Taylor, who was also celebrating her own birthday, was delighted to cut the cake.
Guests listened to a speech from Stanley Beeden, the first founder member resident to enter the care home, as he reflected on Gracewell of Woking's journey so far.
Gracewell of Woking was the 20th home to be opened in the UK by Gracewell Healthcare. The luxury home provides high-quality, personalised residential, nursing and dementia care, and has a dedicated Activities Coordinator on hand to ensure it provides a diverse range of fulfilling activities and events throughout the year.
Emily Wyllie, home Admissions adviser at Gracewell of Woking, says: "We have been absolutely delighted to celebrate our first birthday at Gracewell of Woking and it was a brilliant occasion - thank you to all that attended.
