HC-One is celebrating after taking home the prestigious Skills for Care accolade for ‘Best endorsed provider of learning and development’.
Skills for Care praised the provider for the exceptional development opportunities offered to colleagues across the UK. The charity was impressed by the range of programmes HC-One has available for staff to engage in, such as the Nursing Assistant Programme.
Commenting on the reason for choosing HC-One as the winner, judges at Skills for Care said: “The learning culture encourages staff to take the time to attend training and is supported by impressive evaluations and good feedback from learners, residents and relatives. People who use the services are involved in scoping the programmes and it validates the learning offer with external partners.”
This Skills for Care Accolade highlights HC-One’s commitment to developing its workforce and ensuring there are opportunities for all.
Alison Innes-Farquhar, HC-One’s director of people development and engagement, says: “We are thrilled to have been recognised for our hard work in developing our staff teams through a range of development opportunities.
"As one of the essential pillars on which a strong and sustainable service is built, we are able to attract and develop the best people in our homes who can provide the kindest care to all our residents.
“Gaining this award is a wonderful recognition for the team. We hope this will encourage more people to work in the care sector as people can achieve extraordinary things when they take the learning opportunities offered to them to build a long term career in care.”
