Runwood Homes’ Warwick-based care home, Park View, is delighted to have been awarded ‘good’ in all areas following a recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission.
The new improved rating, verifying the service is performing well and meeting expectations, is being celebrated following a CQC report in December 2017, which stated the Warwick care home required improvement in two out of five assessed areas; safety and leadership.
Geraldine Alfonso, home manager at Park View for the past 12 months, says: “This is fabulous news for Park View and we are very happy. Following our hard work and dedication to make improvements, it really is wonderful to achieve ‘good’ outcomes in all areas. Well done to our fantastic team at Park View.”
Safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led are the five areas evaluated during inspections, in all of which Park View achieved ‘good’.
The Care Quality Commission report, published on 30 November 2018, following an unannounced inspection to the Runwood Homes care home on 8 November 2018, stated, "People's needs had been assessed and risks to their safety were identified and managed effectively" and "People, relatives and staff felt the management team were approachable and would listen to any concerns raised. Staff understood their responsibilities within the home and felt supported in their roles."
