RMBI Care Co is delighted to have received a commendation in the 2018 Learning at Work Week Impact Awards.
The awards are presented to companies and organisations for running excellent Learning at Work Week campaigns. The awards are run by The Campaign for Learning, a national charity promoting lifelong learning.
The 2018 award winners show how creative, innovative and inclusive events shaped to employee and business needs can stimulate an appetite for learning and build learning cultures at work.
RMBI Care Co received a commendation in the Networked for Learning category in recognition of its innovative Learning at Work Week programme, which involved all 18 of its residential care homes as well as the charity’s head office.
Claire Dodd, assistant director of learning and development for RMBI Care Co, says: “To receive a commendation and be mentioned alongside global businesses such as Virgin Media and Thomas Cook is absolutely fantastic. We take our commitment to learning very seriously, so we are tremendously proud to have been recognised by The Campaign for Learning in this way.
“Our aim during Learning at Work Week was to open up learning opportunities for our employees, our care home residents, their relatives and the wider community. We particularly wanted to enable and empower our home trainers to bring passion and fun to their training sessions, providing positive networking experiences and meaningful activities that everyone could learn from and enjoy.”
Julia Wright, national director, Campaign for Learning, says: “Congratulations to all of the successful organisations this year. Their impressive Learning at Work Weeks show how bold and ambitious programmes can have a real and lasting impact - from building employees’ confidence in the use of new technology to creating new connections that will support learning in the future.”
