Care home residents at Richmond Village Witney were overjoyed to receive a visit from Pudsey Bear, as part of the recent national fundraising taking place across the country for Children in Need.
It was a real community event with Witney Rotary Club bringing Pudsey to the retirement village for the afternoon, and three local police community support officers (PCSOs) also calling in to meet Pudsey and have a cup of tea with residents.
The spotty themed afternoon tea included spotty cupcakes, while staff joined in by wearing spots and Pudsey ears. Residents enjoyed a sing-along with their visitors and a dance with Pudsey, having also made their own bears during a craft session.
Fund raising took place at the village for Children in Need all week, with a total of £166 being achieved.
James Bradford, village manager at the retirement village, says: “It was such a treat having Pudsey visit us - everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We really appreciated having members of our local Rotary and PCSOs with us too, and being part of such an important national fundraising initiative.”
