New manager for Richmond Villages

Stephen Griffin has been appointed village manager by Richmond Villages, part of Bupa, to head-up the company’s luxury retirement village and care home at Richmond Painswick.

With over 30 years’ experience in the health and social care sector, Stephen has worked in a variety of roles, beginning as a carer in a local care home, before progressing to management roles within both children’s and adult nursing.

This included time spent managing residential services for children and young people with profound and multiple disabilities.  Under Stephen’s management one such service was declared ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted - the highest rating possible.

Speaking of his experience Stephen says: “I have been very fortunate to have worked for some great local and national organisations and have been a registered manager in children and adults nursing, residential and domiciliary care services since 1997.

“My personal motivation is the drive to provide excellent customer care, and I’m delighted to have joined Richmond Painswick. We have a truly professional and loyal team of colleagues, who go the extra mile every day to deliver residents with personable, professional care.”

Well established within the local community, Richmond Painswick offers a collection of Cotswold stone properties designed to blend well with the local style. It comprises one and two-bedroom independent living apartments offering an independent lifestyle, assisted living suites (one and two bedrooms) which come with a ‘hotel style’ package to help with all daily chores, and a care floor providing 24-hour nursing and dementia support.

The facilities include a wellness spa with three treatment rooms, a large swimming pool, sauna, steam room and a fully-equipped gymnasium.  The restaurant is on a par with that of a hotel, and communal areas include an auditorium, a library with IT facilities and a rooftop garden.
