The sale of Lilliput House, a well-established care home situated close to Sandbanks and Poole Harbour in Dorset has been completed.
Lilliput House is a luxury converted care home with modern extensions and is registered for 54 residents. All bedrooms are for single occupancy and have en-suite facilities. The property was purchased by the previous owners in 2003, with a high standard of trade maintained over the years.
Originally registered for 38, a thorough refurbishment programme was undertaken and the home was extended to the current 54 rooms in 2013. Trading accommodation is set over three floors and the home benefits from two passenger lifts.
Mark and Louise Edney, directors of Lilliput House Ltd, which owns Lilliput House care home, have been involved in the care sector for over 20 years and had previously operated another care home in Bournemouth prior to purchasing Lilliput House.
A decision was taken to market the business on a confidential off market basis so as not to interrupt trade, as they decided to retire from the sector. Christie & Co was appointed to carry out a confidential marketing campaign which resulted in a sale being concluded following wide interest from local and national care operators.

The marketing process was carried out discreetly and professionally and we are glad to have achieved a sale to the new owners.”
Now under new owners Lilliput House Holdings, a director from the company comments, “We are delighted to be purchasing this well performing care home and we wish Mark and Louise a relaxing well earned retirement. The care home offers us a good opportunity to build on its already good name and we look forward to getting to know our residents, their families and new colleagues."
