NHG and Clinicare become Blueleaf

Care home specialist NHG and Clinicare Supplies have merged under the name Blueleaf to become one of the largest care sector specialists in the UK.

Blueleaf commercial director Scott Andrews says: "Our positioning in the care industry is original and unique. It is what makes our new brand different.

“In combining the diverse talents of NHG and Clinicare Supplies, Blueleaf is effectively integrating 60 years of experience and expertise to give care professionals the ultimate solution in terms of the tools and support they need to create care environments that work better."

“‘Blueleaf’s mission is to create ‘space to care’, which in real terms is all about identifying and taking away the logistical and administrative headaches care managers and staff would rather live without. Our USP is the ability to give care staff the headspace to concentrate on providing the best care.”

The decision to merge the two companies was first announced in October 2017. Nathan Campbell, corporate services director says: “Going forward innovation is key to stay ahead and lead the change in care.

"There is a real commitment to invest in R&D and technology to deliver a step change in the day to day provision of care, amidst tight funding and increasing demands and specialist requirements of care for people with a range of age-related conditions.”

"As Clinicare Supplies we had already developed Global Connect, a unique online resource management portal that is revolutionising the running of care homes. NHG customers will now be able to take advantage of Global Connect.

"But this is the start of a new, exciting journey for us and care home professionals," says Scott Andrews. "Both, NHG and Clinicare Supplies have been on the front line with care professionals for over 30 years working at the core of care home businesses.

“We have spent the last nine months integrating our two businesses and are making significant investment in upgrading our systems and streamlining our processes, which will make us even more efficient.

"We will be so much more effective being one business. Customers want the best of both worlds – they want to improve the quality of their care, to enhance the services they provide, and they also want to drive business efficiency and growth. This is why Blueleaf is such a positive move for our customers - it is a delivery mechanism for a truly sustainable care home business."
