Innovative Aged Care is delighted to announce that chairman Laurence Geller CBE has been appointed ambassador of the world renowned Culinary Institute of America.
The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) has been specialising in culinary science, baking and pastry arts education since 1946 with campuses in New York, California, Texas and Singapore. The CIA is dedicated to providing the world’s best culinary education with extraordinary leadership, helping to advance not only the food profession but also the way in which the world eats.
Alongside Laurence’s role as the chancellor of the University of West London, this position ensures the hospitality service at Chelsea Court Place, Innovative Aged Care’s first residential nursing home and day club, is at the highest level, delivering excellence and enjoyment to the residents and members.
Laurence comments, ‘I am absolutely honoured to become an ambassador for the Culinary Institute of America. I am looking forward to not only sharing my knowledge but also learning from some of the world’s most innovative culinary leaders so that all at Chelsea Court Place may benefit.’
Laurence is passionate about food and has enjoyed a rich career in the hospitality industry, having started his career as a chef in the kitchens of the Connaught Hotel, London and later going on to own restaurants with prestigious chefs such as Alain Ducasse, Michael Mina, Gordon Ramsey, Richard Sandoval, Jason Atherton. Laurence now applies his extensive gastronomic knowledge, experience and passion into Chelsea Court Place, where he provides inspirational leadership and direction to the hospitality team.
