Audley Group has been awarded Retirement Living Operator of The Year at this year’s RESI Awards.
Bringing together key players in the residential market, the RESI Awards celebrate the recent successes of the residential property market. This includes the work of leading developers, housing associates, investors, house builders and, of course, retirement living operators for their work in the retirement sector.
The Retirement Living Operator Of The Year award was in recognition of Audley’s continued investment into the retirement living sector, putting them at the forefront of the revolution of this form of housing. The award comes at a point of significant growth for the Audley Group, and the judges looked at:
• Audley’s innovative move into the midmarket, with the purchase of Mayfield Villages’ first site in Watford. Due to open in 2020, this vibrant retirement community will provide 253 apartments to a new audience.
• The Group’s move to support those wishing to reside in urban areas. Audley Villages signed a joint venture with Apache Capital to develop its first retirement village in the London area, in Clapham.
• Audley’s outstanding care and employee survey results. In care, 90 per cent rated the care as good or excellent, while 96 per cent of staff are proud to work for Audley Group.
• The Group’s financial stability and growth including a 39 per cent YoY uplift in the number of units with planning consent and a nine per cent increase in land exchange.
Nick Sanderson, CEO Audley Retirement, says: “We’re thrilled to have been awarded Retirement Living Operator of The Year at this year’s RESI Awards. The award is recognition for the fantastic work that continues all around the Audley Group, from land, to construction, to hospitality and care across our villages. 2017 was a landmark year for us, and I’m delighted to say that this has continued into 2018.”
