Mayor councillor of Lichfield, Mrs Janice Greaves, has officially unveiled the brand new show suites at The Spires care home on Stafford Road.
Janice Greaves with the help of Lisa Downes, the newly appointed general manager of The Spires care home, cut the ribbon to the brand new show suites with an enormous pair of scissors.
The suites, fitted out by Barchester’s team of expert interior designers, gives the local community an opportunity to see what the finished 70-bed care home will look like. The show suite features spacious en-suite bedrooms and a living room as well as a large assisted bathroom, all designed with the comfort of residents in mind.
As Mayor Janice Greaves cut the ribbon, she said: “On behalf of the people of Lichfield, I'm delighted that The Spires will be a new addition to our city.
Lisa Downes added: “Our show suites are a wonderful way for people to come and see the type of high quality environment that we are creating for the residents we will care for and the staff we will employ.
“Our new home will be finished to a high specification with luxury fittings and furnishings. The new home will also feature an in-house hair salon, bistro area, and Wi-Fi will be available in all parts of the home."
Aptly named after the three spires on Lichfield’s famous Cathedral, The Spires, owned and operated by Barchester Healthcare, and will provide high quality residential and dementia care for older people in the neighbouring community and will open its doors to residents this summer.
