Sunrise nominated for employee benefits award

Residents and staff at Sunrise Senior Living UK are celebrating after the care home provider was nominated for the prestigious Employee Benefits Awards for the third year in a row.

Only weeks after Sunrise was named the best care home provider in the country for residential care based on Care Quality Commission (CQC) ratings, the group’s reward team has been nominated for the ‘Best Alignment of Benefits to Business Strategy’ at the Employee Benefit Awards.

This follows Sunrise winning the ‘Most Motivational Benefits’ award in 2017.

To achieve the nomination, Sunrise had to demonstrate the effectiveness of its overall strategy, which is focused on high quality care and benefiting all residents and team members as well as its innovations and the successful results they have produced.

Sunrise can point to the way its employee benefits have reduced the turnover of team members, enhanced employee engagement and productivity and raised the overall performance of the care home provider.

The annual awards, now in their 16th year, recognise talent and achievement in the employee benefits industry and those organisations that have made a difference through their reward strategies. This year’s ceremony will take place on Friday 8 June at The Pavilion at The Tower of London.

Sunrise has 25 communities throughout the UK and also runs 20 additional homes under Gracewell Healthcare, all providing high quality care to residents, tailored to a range of individual needs.

Suzanne Foody, benefits and reward manager at Sunrise Senior Living UK, says: “We are absolutely delighted to have been nominated for an Employee Benefits Award for the third year in a row.

“This highlights the great importance we place on employee happiness and fulfilment, which ultimately benefits all Sunrise communities and Gracewell homes and enhances the care we provide for residents.

“We are very excited about the awards ceremony in June, and will continue doing all we can to make Sunrise and Gracewell a great place for team members to work and residents to live.”
