The doors to Grosvenor Manor Care Centre on Heath Lane in Chester have been officially opened by one of the home’s first residents, Miss Margaret Laird.
Margaret, who is due to move into Grosvenor Manor in the coming days, was joined by William Jakeman (a New Care resident at Ashlands Manor in Sale) and the Lord Mayor of Chester, Cllr Razia Daniels, to mark the milestone.
Grosvenor Manor, which is a stunning 81 bed ‘new generation’ care facility, will welcome 10 new residents over the course of the next month or so.
In addition to officially opening Grosvenor Manor by cutting the red ribbon, the Lord Mayor of Chester also received the first ever tour of the care facility.
Cllr Razia Daniels comments: “It was an absolute pleasure to visit Grosvenor Manor and I am very impressed by the care home and the team behind it. It has been tastefully decorated and the attention to detail throughout is evident, which really does make a big difference.
“Such a high quality care facility is a great addition to Chester and I was honoured to have been invited to open Grosvenor Manor, alongside delightful residents. I wish all the residents and the staff all the very best for the future.”
Chris McGoff, CEO at New Care, comments: “We are thrilled that the Lord Mayor of Chester was able to take time out of her busy schedule to open Grosvenor Manor. We are incredibly proud of the care facility and were delighted to give her a preview tour. The cutting of the red ribbon with some of our residents was a truly memorable way to mark the occasion.”
