Portsmouth based care provider, Hartford Court has received an overall ‘good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
During the inspection last month, Hartford Court was highly praised for its safe, effective, responsive and well led caring services. The CQC report stated the whole management team, with support from the provider, had worked towards improving the quality of care and outcomes for people; people were supported by a caring and committed staff team who demonstrated interest and passion in their work; and they met people's needs with patience, kindness and compassion.
The recent rating underpins the “care, comfort and companionship” values of the care home family, who strive to make a positive difference to the quality of everyday life for residents.
The purpose-built care home facility houses 60 individually designed en-suite bedrooms with comfortable and spacious living areas. The homely lounge and communal areas are themed around famous local author Charles Dickens who was born in Portsmouth and also has a strong nautical ambience.
CEO of Hartford Care, Sean Gavin says: "Congratulations to Sarah and the team at Hartford Court for this terrific outcome. I know the team have worked tirelessly to ensure the quality of care is consistently maintained and they should be proud of this achievement."
Registered care home manager, Sarah Davies says: I am absolutely delighted with the outcome of our most recent inspection. I would like to say a huge thank you to the team for embracing the changes that have been put in place and for their hard work and determination over the past 10 months since I started at Hartford Court. We are like one big family who work together to ensure our residents receive the highest standard of care which is consistent with their changing needs."
