Purley Park Trust, a charity based in Purley on Thames near Reading that provides care services to over 80 people in the local community, has starting using Engagement Multiplier to support its strategy of delivering an excellent standard of care.
Engagement Multiplier is a digital platform and programme, which helps care providers to measurably improve levels of staff engagement. The platform provides senior leaders with valuable insight and clarity around where time, effort and resources should be focused in order to deliver measurable results.
Chief executive of Purley Park Trust, Larry Grady, comments on how the Engagement Multiplier platform has helped him to work a lot smarter: “Prior to using Engagement Multiplier we used to run an annual staff engagement survey – which wasn’t really working for us. What I found most frustrating was the time it would take for us to receive the information back, analyse the results and then plan what to do next.”
Larry goes on to explain how the platform has helped him to better engage with the 150 staff working within each of his eight care homes and domiciliary care agency, as well as helping him to create an open and honest culture within the Trust. “Through the 24/7/365 secure and anonymous feedback mechanism built into the platform, all staff now have the ability to put forward their own ideas and suggestions for the Trust directly to me. Of course, there is the initial anxiety, as a business leader asking for feedback – do I really want to know? But by being brave and creating an open culture we now give everyone a voice, understand what is really going on in the Trust and resolve issues before they really begin to surface.
“If anyone in the sector asked me about investing in employee engagement and whether it was worth it my question to them would be, can you afford not to? When we are focused on looking after vulnerable people it’s essential to understand how engaged are the people responsible for caring for them.”
Andrew Weston, director at Engagement Multiplier adds: “It’s fantastic when we see our platform having a positive impact on people’s lives. We are delighted to be working with Larry and the Trust.”
