Residents and staff at HC-One’s Acacia Court received a visit from local MP Stuart Andrew recently to take a tour of the care home.
The MP for Pudsey, Horsforth and Aireborough met with 101 year old Francis Moran after viewing her living quarters, before witnessing some of the activities taking place at the Pudsey based home, including an armchair exercise class.
On meeting Stuart for the first time and talking about her bedroom, Francis commented: “Isn’t it lovely, I am so lucky.”
Helen Fowler, care home manager at Acacia Court, says: “We were delighted to receive a visit from Stuart and to be given the rare opportunity to give him a personalised tour around our beautiful home.
“The residents were touched that he’d made the time to come and visit and he was really impressed by the high quality living standards that we enjoy at the home.”
Stuart, adds: “It was a brilliant visit to Acacia Court and great to see first-class facilities and specialist care providing dignity and comfort to residents in later life.”
Acacia Court offers specialist residential care to elderly ladies and gentlemen in the local community with a range of ailments, including Parkinson’s diabetes, heart disease, sight and hearing impairments.
The market town based home boasts en-suite bedrooms, a hair salon, garden, it’s own GP and minibus for day trips.
