Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has completed on a deal with New Care, which will see LNT Construction build a state of the art 66 bedroom care facility in Wilford, Nottingham for the care home operator.
The purpose-built care facility will be New Care’s second in Nottingham. The company opened The Grand Care Centre in West Bridgford in 2016, with the 82 bed care home operating at full occupancy.
New Care is renowned for its compassionate, person-centred care, focusing on each resident as an individual and encouraging ‘enablement’, which involves working with all residents to maintain their health and wellbeing and ensure they remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.
The new care facility in Wilford will feature a high specification, catering for the aspiring needs of its residents in the locality, and will benefit from spacious bedrooms and communal areas, decorated by an interior designer ensuring they are stylish, yet comfortable and practical spaces.
Nick Broadbent, development director of LNT comments, “We are delighted to be working with the New Care team to deliver a home in accordance with their requirement for a premier quality product.”
Bernard Wynne, director at Christie & Co adds, “LNT offers a de-risked and cost effective solution to development procurement which is widely recognised by operators, funders and investors. Its innovative and highly informed approach to design allows operators the flexibility to create homes with all the features residents and their families have come to expect.”
“We are seeing high demand for purpose built care homes, especially across the South and Midlands.”
Chris McGoff, CEO of New Care, says: “New Care continues to expand across the UK and this deal is great news for the company, adding a second care facility in Nottingham to our portfolio, following the unprecedented success of The Grand.”
