Godden Lodge opens Appleton House community

HC-One’s Godden Lodge Care Home in Benfleet, Essex, has celebrated the opening of its new residential Appleton House community.

The home opened its doors to the local community, prospective residents, and their families for an Open Day event on 2 May.

Castle Point MP Dame Rebecca Harris and Councillor Gareth Howlett officially opened the new residential community by cutting a ribbon.

Home manager Lewis Chester said: “We are delighted to officially open our new 10 bedded residential community called the Appleton House.

“We enjoyed welcoming in members of the local community and prospective residents to our Open Day event to view the facilities on offer. We’d like to thank everyone who attended and MP for Castle Point, Dame Rebecca Harris, for officially opening our new residential community.”

Dame Rebecca Harris MP commented: “It was a pleasure to attend the opening of the new unit at Godden Lodge. It was a lovely atmosphere and it is very clear that the staff are really dedicated to the residents that they are looking after.”

The Mayor of Castle Point, Councillor Lynsey McCarthy-Calvert, added: “It’s great to see local providers offering high quality residential care enabling families to stay near their loved ones.”
