Fourways Residential Home in Sandhurst, Berkshire has been sold to an experienced care practitioner.
Registered for 20 residents and with an overall CQC rating of ‘Good’, the home has 19 bedrooms, 17 of which are en suite. Purchased by AV Atkinson (Fourways) Ltd in 2006, the business was brought to market as the owners seek to concentrate on other business interests.
Following a confidential sales process with Charles Phillips at Christie & Co, Fourways Residential Home has been purchased by first-time buyer Saieja Sasikaran.
Rowen Atkinson, managing director of AV Atkinson (Fourways) Ltd, said: “I am delighted to have achieved a sale of Fourways and am very happy passing on the care home to the new buyer who I am sure will run it effectively and efficiently. This is a lovely home, and I have enjoyed running the business but felt that I needed to sell to focus on other care homes that I own.”
New owner Saieja Sasikaran commented: “I have been looking to purchase my first care home having been involved in operating care homes for my family for a number of years and, with Fourways being nearby for me, I thought this would be an ideal purchase. I am looking forward to getting to know the staff, residents and their families and building on the home’s good reputation.”
Charles Phillips, director – healthcare at Christie & Co, added: “Having known Rowen for about 15 years, I was very pleased to be asked to confidentially market Fourways for him. A very good level of interest was expressed in the home, and I am confident that Saieja will be very successful with her new venture. The sale of this care home shows there is strong demand for homes of this size throughout the south.”
