Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has announced the sale of Alban House Residential Care Home in Ilfracombe, Devon.
Alban House provides accommodation and personal care to up to 23 older people – including those living with dementia, learning disabilities, and other mental health needs – and younger adults with physical disabilities, including neurological conditions.
Alban House has been owned and operated by David Svenson for the last 25 years and was brought to market to allow him to retire. Following a confidential sales process with Eve-Angelia Apperley and Simon Harvey at Christie & Co, it has been purchased by husband-and-wife first-time buyers Baksho and Onkar Hayer.
David Svenson said: “I am pleased to hand over to Mr and Mrs Hayer after my 25 years of ownership. I believe they can take Alban House further with their ideas and enthusiasm, and I wish them all the best for the future.”
Baksho and Onkar Hayer commented: “We look forward to continuing the successful running of Alban House as it is. The residents and staff remain our top priority. Thank you, David, for your assistance and support during this process and for trusting us to take over ownership of Alban House.”
Eve-Angelica Apperley, business agent – care at Christie & Co, added: “We are pleased that Alban House will continue to successfully operate as a care home, and we look forward to seeing the home continue to thrive. We wish them, and the seller, the best of luck for the future.”
