Welsh home welcomes its first residents

Glenburnie Lodge Care Community in Wenvoe, Wales, has welcomed its first residents.

The new care home features 70 fully furnished en suite rooms, communal lounges, cafe, gym, hair and beauty salon, cinema, and dining rooms.

It offers residential, dementia, and 24-hour nursing care delivered by an experienced team, enhanced with hotel-style services including fine dining and a programme of daily events and activities.

Glenburnie Lodge will have its official opening later this month. Among the guests of honour will be the winner of a Local Hero competition ran by the home to find people who contribute significantly to the local area through their tireless efforts and dedication.

Glenburnie Lodge MD Jacqui Orrells said: “We are delighted to have been able to welcome our first residents to the home and they are already settling in nicely to their new surroundings.

“The home has been expertly designed to offer outstanding, luxury care in a comfortable and stylish environment, providing more choice for local people seeking residential care for themselves or their loved ones.

“Together, we will ensure that person centred care is at the heart of everything we do and that we support the wellbeing of people living at Glenburnie, whilst delivering this care in a respectful and dignified manner.”
