Danforth Care has opened Coronation House in Thetford, Norfolk – its third care home in the county.
The provider’s latest home was officially opened by Mayor of Thetford Councillor Chris Harvey with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Purpose built by LNT, the home boasts 66 en suite rooms, restaurant-quality food cooked by the onsite chef team every day, an on-site cinema, salon, café, and library.
Eighty per cent of the available roof space at Coronation House is lined with solar panels. The home operates without gas and is ‘A’ rated for energy. The home offer 24-hour residential and dementia care, although respite care is available.
Home manager Teresa Burgess said: “My vision with Coronation House is to cultivate a relaxed, homely atmosphere which feels like family for all residents and visitors alike. It’s so exciting to see the doors finally open and to see this vision become a reality. We will strive for residents to find purpose and enjoy a fulfilling experience at this next chapter in their lives.”
