Welford Healthcare buys Bath care home

Welford Healthcare, a boutique group of care homes, has purchased Ivybank House care home in Bath, Somerset.

The home, which is rated as ‘Good’ by the CQC and provides residential, respite, and day care for up to 45 residents, was previously owned by brighterkind.

Funding for the deal – which followed a confidential sales process facilitated by Christie & Co – was provided by Omega REIT, further developing the lender’s growing partnership with Welford Healthcare, which now owns and runs over 20 care homes across the UK.

Welford plans to develop the home by expanding its services to offer secured residential dementia care, and improving Ivybank House’s overall décor, gardens, and conservatory area.

Welford Healthcare director Pete Madden said: “As we continue to implement our acquisition strategy focused on high-quality, well-performing care homes, we are delighted to welcome Ivybank care home into the Welford group of homes.

“Ivybank House is a thriving home which enjoys an excellent reputation locally. Residents are always provided with top-quality, personalised care and we are looking forward to ensuring the home goes from strength-to-strength and continues to serve and support the people of Bath and beyond.”
