Wentworth House in Greater Manchester sold

Wentworth House in Swinton, Greater Manchester, has been sold to SH Care.

Registered for 25 residents, Wentworth House occupies a converted residential house on a quiet street in the Manchester suburb of Swinton.

Owned by husband-and-wife team Antonio and Christine Belvedere since 2001, the home was brought to market to allow them to retire.

Following a confidential sales process with James Knight at Christie & Co, it has been purchased by Micheal Heald of SH Care, who also owns The Bungalow Care Home in Bolton.

Antonio Belvedere, former owner of Wentworth House, said: “We will miss all our special families who chose Wentworth House for their loved ones over the past 23 years. It was an amazing journey, and we did it our way. We wish the new owner, Mike Heald of SH Care, best wishes for all his future endeavours.”

SH Care director Michael Heald commented: “Wentworth House is a well-run home with amazing staff and residents. It compliments my other home perfectly, and I very much look forward to running this fantastic home, long into the future.”

James Knight, associate director – care at Christie & Co, added: “I’m delighted to complete the sale of Wentworth House on behalf of Tony and Christine. It was an absolute pleasure and I wish them all the best in their well-deserved retirements. I’d also like to wish Mike all the very best going forward. I have no doubt we’ll work together again soon.”
