Care UK is celebrating after a number of its teams were nominated in various categories for the Surrey Care Awards.
The Surrey Care Awards celebrate outstanding people in the care sector, highlighting excellence and rewarding those who work to provide consistently outstanding care in the Surrey region.
Jubilee House in Godalming has been shortlisted in the Nursing Home of the Year category, which highlights the team’s commitment to delivering the very best nursing and dementia care to residents with complex needs.
Home Manager Jagpal Singh’s support of his team at Liberham Lodge means he is a finalist in the Registered Manager of the Year category.
Appleby House in Epsom is a finalist in the Care Home of the Year category. The home underpins the value ‘Home is for Living’, and this is reflected in everything they do to enrich the lives of residents. It is the first home in the UK to be part of Art Explorer, a facility which allows virtual visits to real art galleries with real-time interaction with works on display.
The Housekeeping Team at Horley’s Amherst House are nominated in the Unsung Hero of the Year category, while the care team at Norfolk House have been shortlisted in the Innovation in the Practice: Older People’s Services category. Finally, the Lifestyle Team at Echelforde have made the shortlist in the Service User/ Residents Involvement Champion category.
The winners will be announced during the Surrey Care Awards ceremony on 10 November 2023 in Dorking.
