Hallmark’s new West Sussex care home Angmering Grange opened its doors this summer. Having attended the grand opening, The Care Home Environment editor Matt Seex returned in July to take an in-depth look at Hallmark’s innovative approach to care and its desire to build strong, future-facing links with the local community
Hallmark celebrated the Grand Launch of its Angmering Grange care home on a sunny Thursday afternoon in early June. The provider’s 20th home, Angmering Grange is located in a quiet location in Angmering, West Sussex – a picturesque and historical village that sits nestled between the South Downs National Park to the north and popular seaside town Littlehampton to the south west. Another busy coastal resort, Worthing, is located a few miles to the south west of Angmering, which boasts a history going back to the Bronze Age and was once the site of a Roman villa and bath house, the remains of which are now hidden beneath fields a mile from the village centre
Having very much enjoyed the Grand Launch, and keen to find out more about everything that Angmering Grange offers, I returned to West Sussex a few weeks later to speak with general manager Ray Arnold and customer relationship manager Kate Fitches about why Hallmark chose Angmering as the location for their new home, as well as find out about the construction process, Hallmark’s bold approach to new technology, and the importance Hallmark places on establishing Angmering Grange as an integral part of the community.
