Midlands care group Macc Care is celebrating after scooping two accolades at this year’s Pinders Healthcare Design Awards.
Macc Care operates thirteen homes across the Midlands, providing nursing, dementia, and residential care with a commitment to supporting and enriching the lives of its residents.
At the awards, Macc Care’s Sutton Rose care home in Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield, won the ‘Best Independent Living’ award for its combined community facilities with retirement assisted living apartments, Boldmere Place.
In addition, Blythe Rose, Macc Care’s specialist dementia home in Blythe Valley Park, Solihull, won ‘Best Interior Design’ on account of its wide range of facilities, including a salon, shop, and cinema.
Sharen Guise, director of operations at Macc Care, said: “Great care design should always be judged by the impact it has on people and how it supports independence and wellbeing, not just for residents, but for families and staff alike. We demonstrated this philosophy at the inspection and were duly rewarded.
“Many congratulations to managers Eva, at Sutton Rose, and Cheryl, at Blythe Rose, who during the inspection day demonstrated just how well care can be delivered and how our residents' varying care needs can be supported by each of these unique environments.
“I’d also like to thank everyone who supported in the preparation for the inspection days and particularly to DC Construction, Lee White , Mandy Walker, Marium, John, our design team, and architects.”
