Championing Social Care has announced that Virgin Money, Civitas Investment Management, and Christie & Co will be backing this year’s Care Home Open Week.
Care Home Open Week, which this year runs from 26 June to 2 July, provides care homes up and down the country with the opportunity to showcase what they have to offer, from their facilities and activities to career opportunities. The week also provides the perfect opportunity for care homes to build and strengthen connections with their local communities and services.
Derek Breingan, Virgin Money’s head of health and social care sector, said: “Care Home Open Week is an excellent way to highlight and celebrate the fantastic role that care homes and their staff increasingly play in our communities and society, and Virgin Money is pleased to continue supporting it as we have done for several years. As an Ambassador for Championing Social Care, I am proud to support its initiatives to advance the visibility and importance of the sector.”
Paul Bridge, chief executive of Civitas Investment Management, said: “Civitas Investment Management is supporting Care Home Open week as part of Championing Social Care because at the heart of what we do is providing excellent homes and places to live where people who require care can enjoy their lives. The work highlighted across the country by the week mirrors our experience of the absolute dedication and commitment of care givers which the most vulnerable people in society absolutely deserve.”
Christie & Co MD Richard Lunn commented: “We are excited to partner with Championing Social Care on Care Home Open Week this year, a cause which elevates providers throughout the sector and shines a light on the good work that they do for communities up and down the country. The purpose of the initiative is to encourage greater community engagement and volunteering, and showcasing career opportunities available in care which has so much to offer workers and compassionate individuals.
“We have worked with care providers for over 40 years and this brilliant week of events is an opportunity to highlight everything fantastic about the sector.”
Mitesh Dhanak, chair of Care Home Open Week at Championing Social Care, added: “We are delighted to have such a wonderful line-up of headline partners supporting Care Home Open Week this year. All these sponsors bring a unique blend of financial and business expertise which will only strengthen the Care Home Open Week brand and help us to reach even more care homes. During the week, Care Home Open Week will celebrate all the amazing homes, residents and those working in care. More importantly, it will deepen and raise awareness of just how important the sector is to its communities.”
