Margate care home sold to local owners

Treetops Residential Home in Margate has been purchased by the owners of a Broadstairs home.

In a sale overseen by Christie & Co, the 21-bed, double-fronted care home, which has a ‘Good’ CQC rating and sits in a residential area close to local amenities in the seaside town of Margate, Kent, was purchased Denver and Misha Rajaratnam, who also own Wychdene Care Home in Broadstairs

Outgoing owners Indi and Navpreet Toot said: “[We are] pleased to have sold Treetops to Denver and Misha who already operate a successful home in the area.”

Denver and Misha Rajaratnam commented: “We are delighted to have bought our second care home, Treetops Residential Home, which operates with the same family values as our first home. We look forward to continuing to build on the strong reputation it has enjoyed using our experience in running another care home locally.”

John Harrison, director of healthcare at Christie & Co, added: “It has been great working with Indi again, having completed three care home transactions with him previously, and also with Denver and Misha in helping them secure Treetops Residential Home which is such a good fit for them following the success they have achieved at Wychdene Care Home which they also bought through me last year. I am sure Treetops will continue to thrive under their ownership.

“We have agreed a good number of care home sales in the Southeast already this year, and are seeing continued demand from buyers.”
