Boutique Care Homes has acquired a new care home site in Hythe, Kent – its second acquisition in recent months.
The 66-bedroom home, to be built in partnership with Roddy New Homes Ltd, will be located in the south west of the town at the former Smiths Medical centre on Boundary Road. As part of a wider regeneration project for this brownfield site, the new care home will sit alongside a development of 97 houses. The site has been vacant since Smiths Medical relocated its staff to Ashford at the end of 2017.
Following a reserved matters planning application, construction will commence in late 2023, with Boutique Care Homes committing over £10m in investment into the local area. The home will generate over 70 new jobs. Boutique promises ‘ … a new standard of luxury and family-centred care’ for the Hythe area.
Boutique Care Homes is rapidly expanding its portfolio, with homes in Shepperton Surrey, Newmarket Suffolk, and Broadstairs Kent, and having recently acquired a fourth site in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.
Ameet Kotecha, MD and head of the Boutique Care Homes family, said: "I am pleased that after much hard work by the team, we have acquired this site to strengthen the group's presence in Kent. Hythe is a great opportunity for us to continue developing top quality homes, providing the highest quality care to residents. We are very excited to begin work on our latest new development."
