Kent-based care group RCB Healthcare Group has acquired a successful care business comprising The Priory Mews Care Home and Woodford House Care Home in Dartford, Kent.
This purchase marks the largest acquisition to date for RCB, a family-run group which currently operates five care homes, including The RedHouse Care Home in Fareham in Hampshire and Heatherdale Nursing home in Gillingham, Kent.
Priory Mews and Woodford House, both rated ‘Good’, are located on the same site in Dartford, Kent, and boast a combined capacity for up to 177 residents. Each home is purpose-built. The acquisition takes RCB’s portfolio to 354 beds, making it one of the largest care operators in the Kent area.
RCB Healthcare Group owner and director Baljit Sanghera sourced funding through commercial finance specialist Christie Finance in order to purchase the business.
Baljit Sanghera said: “I am delighted to complete this acquisition which has taken my care portfolio to another level.”
Jimmy Johns, director at Christie Finance, added: “It was a pleasure to work with Bal, RCB care, and his family to grow the business with this acquisition. Throughout this transaction, we were faced with high-level funding challenges both legal and regulatory, however we were able to find solutions and the successes of this transaction were hugely rewarding for my client and myself. I wish Bal all the success with the continued growth of his business, and hopefully looking forward to working with him again.”
