Care sector consultancy Fulcrum Care has joined The Care Workers’ Charity (CWC) as a bronze sponsor.
The CWC supports people working in the social care sector. As a sponsor, Fulcrum Care will help to raise awareness and widen the CWC’s reach by supporting care workers with financial grants and mental health support, and by providing access to vital services during economic hardship.
Since 2020, The CWC has supported over 6,000 care workers across the UK with almost £4m in crisis, funeral, mental wellbeing, COVID-19, and health grants. It aims to improve sector resilience and to help vulnerable care workers feel valued and supported when they need it most.
Fulcrum Care CEO Tony Thiru said: “We’re proud to pledge our support to The Care Workers’ Charity and join their mission, vision, and values for care workers across the UK.
“As care sector consultants, we are in constant contact with the care workers and care home managers who are on the frontline of the challenges faced by social care. Becoming a sponsor of the initiative is just one of the ways that we hope to continue helping those in need within the sector and create a better environment for our key workers.”
Karolina Gerlich, CWC CEO, added: “We are very grateful that Fulcrum has decided to support our initiative. Working in social care is a rewarding role, however it comes with its challenges. The CWC is a safety net for care workers and their families who are struggling and might not have the means to support themselves.
“The grants we provide can make the difference for a family to heat their house over winter or repair their car to ensure they can get to work — our support eases the stress for care workers and helps them to keep caring.”
