Healthcare tech pioneer Intercall is continuing to innovate with its Touch Safeguard Sensor, designed to monitor rooms where residents are prone to falling.
A ceiling mounted thermal image sensor monitors bed occupancy, giving accurate motion readings while allowing the resident to adjust their sleeping position without the risk of generating a false alarm. It does this by recording movement both in and out of bed.
By masking an area using software, the data generated can be used to track a pattern of individual behaviour. Should that behaviour change or register as irregular, an alert can be raised on the nurse call system, bringing immediate assistance. On an aesthetic level, the Safeguard Sensor removes potential trip hazards and infection risk that can be caused by traditional pressure mats and cables.
Backed by the Intercall Data Logging system, which automatically captures and records all system activity, the automatic upgrading of alert priorities, and the use of Care Cards to identify and log staff actions, Intercall Touch is an invaluable tool for the modern care environment.
Every Intercall system is the product of specialist knowledge and experience gained through over 30 years of research, development, and rigorous testing. Designed and manufactured in the UK, Intercall has created the best-selling nurse call systems in the UK.
Intercall will be exhibiting at this year’s Care Show, showcasing Intercall One and Intercall Touch with Safeguard, as well as a newly developed App.
