Cheshire care home sees double with awards wins

Priesty Fields Care Home in Congleton, Cheshire, is celebrating after winning at two prestigious awards ceremonies.

The family-run care home, part of the Hansdale care group, which operates nine homes across the UK, won ‘Best for architecture or interior design' and 'Best new care home' at The Care Home Awards’ annual ceremony at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, London.

Priesty Fields also won the prestigious ‘Essence of family business’ accolade at the Family Business of the Year Awards for 2022, as well as finishing as runner-up in the ‘Health & wellness’ award category.

The home, which opened in November 2021, offers 78 en-suite bedrooms and boasts a gastropub, farmers market, cinema, gym, library, garden lounge, and GP office. The home is sustainable, with a heat recovery system and environmentally friendly lighting for low energy consumption.

Saagar Sodha, business director at Priesty Fields, said: “Just to be recognised on a national scale is a magnificent achievement, but twice in the space of a week is something none of us could ever have expected. As a family-run business, we can reassure residents and their families that we are small enough to care, but big enough to provide security and stability. Caring for our loved ones is the most important thing in our lives. We have taken those values and that passion for caring and put them into our design and caring ethos at Priesty Fields.”
