GladtoCare Awareness Week is championing and celebrating the UK care sector for a third consecutive year.
According to organisers Autumna and Person Centred Software, this year’s GladtoCare, running until 24 June, is ‘the biggest and best yet’, with hundreds of care providers having registered. Last year’s event, which registered three million social media impressions on the #GladtoCare hashtag, saw over 500 care providers taking part.
Participants are invited to participate in fun activities and wellbeing sessions designed to get the entire care community involved. The aim of the week is ‘to show appreciation for the extraordinary contributions that carers make to the lives of recipients of care, their families, and community members, reassuring families currently looking for care and, in turn, resulting in improving occupancy for providers’.
Jonathan Papworth, founder of Person Centred Software, said: “We are thrilled to have so many care providers sign up for this year’s #GladtoCare Awareness Week, and can’t wait to see how care workers and residents will respond to the festivities we have planned.
"Our goal is to have as many care providers and care workers as possible get involved in a bid to shine a light on all of the incredible work that’s been done, and continues to be done, within the care industry. It’s not too late to sign up, so if you’re a care provider and want to celebrate all the hard work your care workers do, we strongly recommend registering your participation!”
Care providers and care workers still have time to visit www.gladtocare.com and register to receive a free #GladtoCare digital toolkit.
