WASHCO announces second spin for Love Laundry Awards

Commercial laundry specialist WASHCO will once again be championing the care sector’s laundry stars with its Love Laundry Awards 2022.

Launched last year, the Love Laundry Awards are designed to recognise the hard work and dedication of care homes and their laundry teams who work tirelessly to keep residents safe.

There are two Love Laundry Awards up for grabs: Love Laundry Hero and Love Laundry Care Home. The Love Laundry Hero Award honours an individual who has gone above and beyond the call of duty while the Love Laundry Care Home Award shines a light on a care home that has implemented outstanding laundry processes. The winners of the two awards will be announced at the WASHCO stand during this year’s Care Show in October.

Commenting on the awards, WASHCO’s marketing manager Emily Stoten said: “The pandemic really highlighted the lack of recognition for laundry teams in the care sector, which is why we launched the Love Laundry Awards. We were overwhelmed by the response to the awards last year and loved hearing the stories of those who have made a difference. With infection control an ongoing challenge for care homes, it was a no brainer to do it all again this year and continue to honour the UK’s amazing laundry heroes and care homes.”

The winner of the Love Laundry Hero will receive £250 to spend on electrical goods for themselves, while the Love Laundry Care Home winner will get £500 to spend on electrical goods for their care home. To enter please visit www.washco.co.uk/lovelaundryawards and fill in the online entry form. The closing date is the 16th of September.
