A new dawn for dementia environments

As a person’s ability to do everyday tasks declines, creating a well-thought-out design will enable those living with dementia to experience a better quality of life. Different designs and colour ways will enable residents to recognise areas and move around the home confidently and safely.

Lighting

When choosing lighting, it is important that day spaces have good levels of natural lighting unobscured by heavy window dressings. Artificial lighting needs to be bright and evenly spread.
