New Care has started construction of its 64-bed care home in Egerton in the northern part of the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton, Greater Manchester.
The £7.95m scheme located on the site of the former Egerton Hotel is expected to welcome its first residents in September 2023.
The three-storey development will provide ensuite wet rooms, communal lounges and dining rooms, spa-assisted bathrooms plus a hair salon and nail bar.
Advanced care services such as acoustic monitoring and silent call bells will be incorporated into the build, which will also offer landscaped gardens and an outdoor terrace to the first floor.
“Once complete, this beautiful new home will deliver the highest standards of care in a stylish, comfortable, safe and stimulating environment,” said New Care commissioning director Dawn Collett.
“With the care crisis continuing to escalate, we remain committed to bringing our award-winning facilities to areas where there is an established need and are looking forward to delivering our latest facility in Bolton.”
Egerton is one of six facilities currently under construction by New Care. The operator is also on site with new schemes in Wilmslow, Lymm, Grappenhall, Guiseley and Adel, in Leeds, taking its total portfolio to 15.
The principal contractor for all new homes, including Egerton, is being managed by New Care’s sister company McGoff Construction.
