Fire detection technology specialist Hochiki is helping care home facilities managers to upgrade their life safety systems while staying Covid compliant with its Ekho range of next-generation hybrid wireless systems.
The Ekho range includes wireless sounders with volume controls, and warning devices with built-in voice annunciator or visual alarm devices, essential for homes with residents who are hard of hearing or living with dementia where minimal distress is vital in an emergency. Optical, heat and multi-criteria sensors are part of the range which feature double dust traps and adaptive signal processing to prevent false alarms. The multi-sensor and heat sensor also featuring a thermal detection element to respond to either a fixed temperature threshold, or a rate of rise in temperature, depending on the determined risks and location.
