Care home construction company Savista Developments has scooped two National Building & Construction Awards for sister company Hallmark Care Homes’ Henley Manor in Oxfordshire.
Savista, which started operating in 2019, scooped Specialist Contractor of the Year and Project of the Year up to £10 million for Henley Manor, its first build.
Henley Manor opened in January 2020 and is purpose built, 80-bedroom care home in Henley-on-Thames.
The residential, nursing and dementia home features a cinema with a starlight ceiling, corridors with circadian lighting, intuitive dementia design, and a garden with interactive elements throughout.
It was constructed using traditional methods of brick and block under a tiled roof, there was a 4,500 square feet basement installed to support the back of house elements - with three floors above - on a site of just over an acre.
“We are absolutely delighted to have received these awards. It demonstrates our on-going commitment to creating outstanding environments for residents and it is a testament to the hard work and passion of our team,” said Savista Developments chief executive Kevin Shaw.
“The future is bright for Savista, as Henley Manor was the first of our now six projects for Hallmark Care Homes and Santhem Residences and we are determined to innovate and improve with each new build,” he added.
