North-east care company Interactive Development Support has been sold off an asking price of £3.5m to supported living provider Flexible Support Options.
Founded in 2002, Interactive Development Support is a supported living company providing one-to-one care to people in their own homes.
It specialises in services for adults and children with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and sensory impairment.
The business operates from 17 care units across Gateshead, Newcastle and North Tyneside.
The family-run business was previously owned by Interactive Development Residential Limited.
“IDS has grown and become an established provider of care to vulnerable clients, and I felt it was time to hand the reins over to an established provider so I could concentrate on my other businesses,” said director Gordon Quince.
The sale was handled by specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co.
