London-based luxury elderly residential nursing and specialist care home outfit Hamberley Development has promoted John Austin to the role of managing director.
Austin, who was previously development director, will spearhead Hamberley’s plans for a rapid roll-out of new care home developments across the UK.
Hamberley Development has 11 care homes under construction in Basingstoke, Hailsham, Bedford Wixams, West Byfleet, Brampton, Cofton Hackett, Keynsham, Charlton Hayes, Enfield, Edwalton and Eastleigh.
In addition, the company has a development pipeline of sites in Cambridge, Dorking, Southampton, Basingstoke and Camberley.
“John’s promotion to managing director is a recognition of his talent and hard work helping us to take our award-winning care homes from initial drawings through to that moment when the first residents come through the door,” said co-founding director of Hamberley Development Daniel Kay.
Before joining Hamberley in January 2016 to oversee the delivery and handover of selected homes in the portfolio, Austin worked for Fed3 Projects, a healthcare construction project management firm, where he supported the development programme for Gracewell Healthcare.
