Location ‘track and trace’ technology has come to the forefront of care during the pandemic.

In an effort to enforce strict social distancing to combat Covid-19, care operators Dormy and Signature have been introducing new technology such as lapel badges that produce real-time flashing image alerts and vibrations to staff, visitors and residents in care homes if they enter a ‘red zone’ of less than two metres from another person.

Yet location tracking has not only become vital in social distancing and allowing homes to open to visitors but also in transforming how operators manage staff.
