Majesticare’s Cavendish Park in Evesham has won the care home design award at the 2021 Knight Frank Luxury Care Home Guide Awards.
Knight Frank said the award recognises the design of the Worcestershire care home in relation to innovation, design, sustainability and the environment.
Open to residents since September 2019, interior design of the 67-bed Cavendish Park reflects a boutique hotel and features a foyer, library with IT suite, café, dining rooms, salon, cinema and community lounges.
The home’s interior design was performed by Samantha Lord Interior Design, the architect is DWA and the contractor Seddon Construction.
Majesticare beat other finalists Yorkare Homes’ Tranby Park near Hull, Hallmark Care Homes’ Henley Manor in Oxfordshire and Barchester Healthcare’s Trinity Manor in Sherborne, Dorset to take the award.
Meanwhile, the Luxury Care Home Award 2021, which recognises hospitality and care services in a prestigious setting, was won by Sanders Senior Living’s Graysford Hall in Leicester.
The Refurbishment & Renovation Award 2021, which recognises heritage, redesign and repositioning, was taken by The Chocolate Works Care Village in York operated by Springfield Healthcare.
Owing to Covid, the award winners were selected via virtual inspections of each of the finalist’s facilities by the judging panel.
